This course is provided to Namibian nurses who wish to establish a foundation in anaesthesia.

The course is delivered in English and has been accredited by the Namibian Society of Anaesthesiologists for CEU. 

You will receive 5 lessons in video format (10 minutes each) over the 4 week period. Each lesson comes with a comprehensive summary document, a short assessment and a plan for consolidating the knowledge by experience. 

The lesson topics are:

1. How to act in the operating theatre (hazards, hacks and things to know)

2. The anaesthetist (how to plan a list and communicate safely with the anaesthetist)

3. Monitoring essentials (a deep dive on the 4 essential monitors of anaesthesia)

4. The world of drugs (an easy way to understand all the drugs we use in the operating theatre)

5. Preparing for take-off (how to prepare for the start of a case and beyond)
